Food Equity
Food equity is the idea that everyone should have the ability to access healthy, affordable, and culturally significant food.
It's a fundamental human right that goes beyond just having food available.

A Liveable Wage for a single parent of two children in South Burlington is $157,000.

Annually that parent spends $25,000 on food items, usually from cans, boxes or bags.

Together we can do something to fix that
@ Common Roots
Our model is amazing.
It creates a fantastic support system for SoBu where everyone has the opportunity, knowledge,
and choice to enjoy locally sourced, organic,
nutrient-dense, and satisfying food that nourishes their body, mind, and soul.
This way, we can achieve optimal community health and well-being. How awesome is that?!
We are proud to farm and offer local, organic, and legacy produce proteins, all grown, prepared, and sold right here in SoBu. Join us in our mission to create a sustainable food culture!
